6mm elevator wire ropes generally use 6X19S, which are mostly used for traction ropes to provide sufficient pulling force and friction.
Elevator steel wire ropes are spirally twisted around a single core. Usually use 50-65 high quality carbon steel or 60Si2Mn steel wire.
For safety, special or No. 1 steel wire is used for the elevator wire rope, and its wire diameter is limited to 0.3 to 1.3 mm.
The commonly used elevator traction wire ropes are Seale (S) and Warrington (W).
At present, elevators generally use steel wire ropes of the Seale type 8 or 6 steel wire strands, of which 8X19S is widely used.
